Freediver sets world immersion record at 97 meters

Well, for a restart to our companies high season blogs, this video clip of the Japanese world record free diver gives a great insight into a different aspect of diving. The amount of training and practice Sayuri would have had to do to reach 97 meters would have been ongoing and continuous for (Delete = such) a very, very long time. As a friend of mine commented, it looked like she could have kept going to 100m. Apart from her efforts, the underwater video photography was of such good quality, especially allowing for the many varying lighting aspects. Overall, a stunning account of a new world record. Congratulations to Sayuri from all of us scuba divers at Similan Queen Diving Centres (Thailand).
